Our final guest speaker to wrap up COMUFON’s 2005 speaker series was none other than John Schuessler, International Director of MUFON. John’s presentation was on the “Real Mystery Behind UFOs.”

John spoke about the declassification process concerning UFO documents and our military’s involvement. Was it coincidental that the U.S. Airforce was nearby the Kenneth Arnold sighting and Roswell? F.O.I.A. has allowed documents to be released that indicate military pilot sightings of “flying fuselages” that could not remain airborne by conventional means. Released Air Force documents speak of “wingless aircraft” and “advanced propulsion systems.”

John isolated a specific military document from July 1948 that had military witness accounts of UFO activity. However, the exhibits (A,B,C and D) that were associated with the released documents were not requested to provide further evidence. Would these exhibits have provided additional evidence to support the military personnel’s unconventional aerial sightings? Why does the government require certain UFO reports to be classified? Why do various powerful governments cover up UFO reports past and present? Why is there no funding for UFO research in the scientific community?

John pointed out the general public is becoming more and more apathetic towards UFOs due to terrorist activities, catastrophic weather, proliferating diseases, etc…

Unfortunately there is no money to be made in UFO research. Schools ignore this subject along with the mainstream media. And finally the UFO community has never really become unified.

We have a lot of work ahead of us in 2006 if we want to educate the general populace and keep the truth about this subject from being buried.
