IN CASE YOU MISSED IT………

Well, 2004 has come to a close and COMUFON had another successful year in bringing to our members a thought provoking series of speakers. We promise in 2005 to continue to provide our members with upcoming speakers that will take ufology to the edge of extreme possibilities.

Our final guest speaker in 2004 was our very own International Director of MUFON, John Schuessler. John’s theme for his presentation was “UFOs in December.”

UFOs have been reported as early as December 1387. Throughout history we’ve had December sightings of anomalous objects over atomic installations to the Hopkinsville, Kentucky encounter where a family allegedly shot at gremlin looking aliens that were crawling all over their home.

Reports of alien abductions and fetus removal have been steadily decreasing over the years. However, a new disturbing abduction trend is emerging. John has been fielding calls on the UFO reporting hotline from 25 – 40 year old men who are articulate, well educated with upper level management careers who feel they are experiencing UFO abductions. One call John received was from a Florida man who was in Halifax, Nova Scotia on business. As he was driving back to his hotel room he noticed a glowing object was following his car. After he arrived at his hotel he says he was abducted from his room where insidious procedures were performed on him by non-human looking beings. This respected businessman was not looking for notoriety or publicity. John said he appeared to be genuinely frightened and upset and needed to tell his story to someone who would listen.

John also spoke about the book he wrote on the Cash / Landrum incident. On December 29, 1980 two east Texas businesswomen witnessed a diamond shaped object that flew within 135 feet of their car. The object was surrounded by what appeared to be military helicopters as it drifted over the horizon. Both women could feel the intense heat of this object even inside their vehicle. Both Cash and Landrum ended up suffering tremendous hair loss, nausea, skin disruption and common symptoms from radiation exposure.

John lastly told the story of two brothers who on December 21, 1994 drove from California to spend Christmas in Texas. As the brothers drove over the Texas state line they noticed an object was following their car. The object continued to closely follow their vehicle until it actually bounced off the roof of their car. The next memory the brothers had was that they were sitting in the middle of the woods inside their car stuck in the mud. One brother ran out of the car screaming into the woods. After a search party carefully scoured the area unsuccessfully, he mysteriously appeared and walked out of the woods three days later. He was discovered wearing just his shorts and a T-shirt and his arms, legs and feet were horribly scratched and bleeding. If he had been wandering in the underbrush for three days, how did the search party miss him in the narrow wooded area?

As there is a national and global increase in UFO evidence and sightings of triangular and disc shaped aerial objects, will our new year bring us any closer to getting finite answers on the UFO phenomenon and alien agenda? Maybe our 2005 guest speaker series and international symposium will help shed some light on these subjects.
